I (WE dear sisters) have the ability to shift atmospheres and bring change……
When I found what the blog topic for July was, I got kind of excited. This subject has been something I have been thinking about, praying about and trying to put into practice for awhile now. It completely goes with what I consider to be part of my personal calling.
To impart as much of my crazy, Jesus loving, I ain’t afraid of that little worm of a devil and I don’t have time to put up with his junk, as possible to all the women in my personal sphere of influence………..
Because we all say it right? We all quote and declare His promises over ourselves and our families. Christ in us the HOPE of GLORY!. Greater is He who is within ME than He that is in the world. The power of life and death are in my tongue. His plans for me are a HOPE and a FUTURE…… And the list goes on.
But what about the everyday? The practical application? Each room we walk into? Each store we shop at? Each beloved customer service representative we are appointed to talk with today? Because that is EXACTLY what each and every part of our day is. Kingdom filtered Father appointments to change the world! One smile. One word. One gracious gesture. One prophetic word at a time.
But how do we do that when we are so overwhelmed by the heaviness and frustrations of those around us?
Do you ever find yourself in a situation like this?
You have been bopping along all day. You EVEN woke up in a GREAT mood! You had your quiet time, just Jesus and you. Nothing is going get you down! You have been singing a mix of worship music and Aretha Franklin’s greatest hits. You are woman! People are going to hear you ROOOARRR!
But then it happens…. You walk into an office (a store, a doctor’s office, etc…) And “that” weird weight begins to settle on you. That annoying voice begins to speak…. “Who do you think you are? You are nothing… You don’t really make a difference in anyone’s life. You still have some of the same hang ups you have had for years! Obviously you don’t love God enough! He obviously doesn’t love you as much as His other daughters….. IF He did? IF you were good enough? You would be in a different place. Everything in your life would be so very different!”
Hey sister…. In case you don’t already know, I am going to be the one to tell you. THAT IS A LIE! That is the enemy whispering junk into your ear. IT IS NOT REALITY!
So what do you do? Baby girl, let’s change the atmosphere!
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify the problem. Does everyone in the area seem irritated, angry? Weighed down with the burdens of the world? Well then speak to it! Tell it to go in Jesus Name! You have the birthright and authority to do that! You don’t have to shout or look weird or grab the anointing oil out of your purse……. Just quietly speak to the thing that has taken up residence in the area you are in. Tell it you do NOT come into agreement with it in Jesus Name. Because my sister, you carry the presence of Jesus Christ.
And if you have never tried this before, you are going to be so wonderfully surprised. You will feel the atmosphere shift. The knowledge of how powerful you really are in HIM will begin to rise up within you. And suddenly, fear and intimidation will begin to fade from your everyday life. That first step doesn’t just change your here and now. It begins a process that is going to change the rest of your life.
I don’t know about you, but I have simply had enough. I have been through enough. Seen enough. Enough is enough!
My challenge to you today (seriously, I am going to push you a little here because I love you) is to take up that Sword of the Word. You already know how to pick it up. Now take a little swing with it. Before you know it you will be wielding that baby like a pro. Because I promise you, once you begin to realize that the power He has placed in you is real? Nothing in your life will ever be the same.
Now. Go pick up that sword!
2 Corinthians 10:4 (AMP) The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
1 John 4:4 (ESV) Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
